The Personal Care India Expo 2015 closed on August 21st - and it was a success, say organizers UBM India.

The Personal Care India Expo 2015, India’s first international trade event catering to the personal care, cosmetic & home care ingredients, machinery and packaging industries, closed on August 21st. The 3-day event was organized by UBM India, and took place at Pragati Maidan. Key players of the cosmetics ingredients, raw material and contract manufacturing, packaging and machinery, ayurveda and nutraceutical ingredients, were in attendance. The trade show welcomed more than 125 companies, and 2,700 buyers including delegates from Kenya, Libya, France and Germany. Shahnaz Husain, CMD, Shahnaz Husain Group of Companies, hosted the show and named the winners of the most innovative ingredients, machinery and packaging, which were displayed in the Innovative Product Showcase. Key speakers included experts like Jamie Cid, Purple Herd; Kavita Gaikwad, Clariant Chemicals; Vimaresh Darji and Mr. Vinayak Mohan, Ace Technologies; Dr. Amit Zanul, Agilent; Warren Fernandes, Arjun Beeswax; Gaurang Thumar, Sundaram Technologies; S. Mukherjee, KBH Polymers Pvt Ltd; Rishabh Desai, Koel Colors. Yogesh Mudras, Acting Managing Director, UBM India, commented, “The socio-economic trends causing an accelerated growth of the domestic personal care market and the dependency for quality personal care products on the fuel for this industry, namely ingredients, packaging and machinery, have both taken it to the centre stage. Consequently, a dedicated trade platform for this contributing industry was more than welcomed which is evident in the kind of overwhelming industry response we received at the show. The success of this maiden show has only raised the bar for the 2016 edition of Personal Care India Expo.”
